Features & Advantages
Simply add to your existing tanks dosing at 1:3,000 (30 ml per 100 litre fuel), of the fuel thus ensuring that all the troublesome bacteria and fungi are destroyed.
Refuelling Dose to Protect Clean Fuel System
Add to fuel tanks prior to refuelling use at 1:10,000 (10 ml per 100 litre), ensure that fuel tanks are treated whenever they are topped up.
Some amount of water is present in all fuel tanks, including diesel and petrol, the longer the fuel isn’t utilized the more water it will incorporate.
After being manufactured by the oil refinery, whilst the recently refined fuel cools, water solubility decreases. Therefore as oil is cooling in refinery storage tanks mixed water starts to condense. During transport the cooling process proceeds further. The specific gravity of water is more than that of fuels, as mixed water condenses it drops out of the petroleum product and gathers in tank bottoms and in pipeline low-points.
Before sale the fuel can be stored for a long duration and this fuel will hold a certain amount of water. In comparison to conventional diesel, Biological Diesel (FAME) especially has a tendency to hold more water.
Water provides the ideal atmosphere for microbial development and contamination issues that have a significant effect on persistence and fuel-quality.
Thus technical challenges are faced by Agriculture Company’s in bulk storage and in vehicles, since all fuels types especially low sulphur and biological diesel can exhibit particular problems which cause difficulties in operation.
The atmosphere is also one of the factor from where the stored fuel absorbs moisture, this water results in microbial fuel bug problem and microbial contamination. Oil tanks may collect around 0.1% water (on the basis of the type and volume of fuel) as a result of condensation during long term storage. This especially applies to the warmer countries.
The fuel quality gets severely affected during long term storage which can be due to the growth of harmful microbes, moulds, fungi and bacteria. Harmful microbes attack and break down the fuel additives which leads to the reduction in fuel lubricity, thus fuel degradation occurs.
Various fuel issues can be solved by Hydra FuelPlus Biocide which is an Excellent Fuel Biocide Additive! Especially for customers who want to protect their fuel investment. It has proven to be the economic solution for enhancing the fuel quality and its properties.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide knocks out harmful microbes in All Fuels. Kills microbes completely within 24 hours, protects the treated fuel for over 6 months.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is based upon dual isothiazolone chemistry and technology that has been proven to be highly effective against microbial growth for over 25 years. Isothiazolones are registered under the ECHA European Biocides Directive, REACH and by the EPA in the USA.
All of our products are manufactured to the highest specifications in our UK plant, which is accredited to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is very efficient for both decontamination of heavily fouled fuel system and also the avoidance of future spoilage when dosed properly. The integrity of fuels is maintained at all the points during the storage, usage and distribution by the proper biocide usage. Hydra FuelPlus Biocide, preserves the useful fuel system to prevent, engine failures, machine malfunction, microbial induced corrosion, and impaired water removal from storage tanks while protecting the fuel performance properties as well as specifications such as colour, heat of combustion, pour point, and cloud point.
Note:- Prevents Fuel Starvation Damage To Injectors And Engines.

Review by Robert
I do not use my diesel pick more frequently, it sits idle more than it should. Last year, I found scum in my diesel. My friend suggested me to use FuelPlus Biocide and explained me how helps to keep scum under control. I use a small syringe to measure the dose and just squirt it in the tank before topping it off.
