Features & Advantages
Use shock treatment dosage when there is visible microbial contamination. The dosage is as given: 1:3000 i.e., 1 part of biocide to 3000 parts of the fuel or 30 ml per 100 litres. Shock dosage will kill all unwanted microbial infestations.
Refuelling Dose to Protect Clean Fuel System
Refuelling dose to be applied before refuelling the fuel tank. Make sure the fuel tank is treated before every top up. Dosage: 1:10,000 (10 ml of biocide per 100 litres of fuel).
All fuel tanks inevitably contain some water even at the refinery level. The amount of water present will eminently increase with the duration the fuel is left in storage.
As the fuel after refinery cools down its water solubility greatly decreases. As a result of which the dissolved water in the fuel begins to condense in the storage tank. This process continues throughout the transportation process. As the density of water is greater than that of water, the condensed water sinks to the bottom of the storage tank and accumulates there.
Fuel is generally stored for a long time before usage. So, it will inevitably contain some amount of water. Biological Diesel (FAME) contains ethanol as an active element which attracts water molecules. Hence, more water will accumulate. This water accumulated at the bottom of the fuel tank provides a favorable environment for the microbes to grow and reproduce. This will greatly affect the fuel quality and consistency.
Thus, it has become a major challenge for oil refinery companies during production and in bulk storage, as the microbial spoilage in storage fuel has become more prominent with the arrival of low sulphur and biological diesel. This can cause considerable hindrance in operation.
Fuels spent a long time in storage absorbs water from the atmosphere, where there is water microbial contamination is imminent. In tropical countries, water accumulated in the fuel storage system can be as much as 0.1% resulting from condensation during long storage period.
Microbial infestation can immensely reduce fuel quality. Most notable microbes present in the fuel system are yeasts, moulds, fungi and bacteria. This results to fuel degradation, reducing fuel properties like lubricity, pour point, cloud point, viscosity etc.
For customers who want to protect their hefty fuel investment, many of these issues can be solved by Hydra FuelPlus Biocide which is an Excellent Fuel Biocide Additive! It has proven to be the economical solution for improving the quality of fuel and its properties.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide knocks out harmful microbes in All Fuels. Kills microbes completely within 24 hours, keeps protecting the treated fuel for over 6 months.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is based upon dual isothiazolone chemistry and technology that has been proven to be highly effective against microbial growth for over 25 years. Isothiazolones are registered under the ECHA European Biocides Directive, REACH and by the EPA in the USA.
All of our products are manufactured to the highest specifications in our UK plant, which is accredited to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is highly effective in eliminating existing contamination and protects from future contamination in the fuel system. Hydra FuelPlus Biocide help preserve the fuel properties during storage, transportation and usage. By eliminating all microbial spoilage, it protects the fuel system from filters, injectors and fuel line clogging. This will help prevent the occurrence of total system failure in the future, hydra FuelPlus Biocide also help maintains the fuel’s properties like pour point, volatility, cloud point, viscosity and heat of combustion.
Note:- Prevents Fuel Starvation Damage To Injectors And Engines.

Amazing product! I heard a lot about this product. I wanted to check how effective this product is? I did a glass test to see if this product actually dissolved the microbes. It did! All the other products tested did not.
