Features & Advantages
Shock / Initial Dose
For already contaminated Fuel Systems
1: 3,000 (30 ml per 100 litre fuel)
Add Hydra FuelPlus Biocide to the existing fuel storage tanks to completely destroy bacteria, fungi and mould.
To Protect Clean Fuel Systems
1:10,000 (10 ml per 100 litre)
Add to fuel tanks prior to refuelling. Always use the refuelling dose whenever fuel tanks are topped up.
Any fuel tank including diesel tanks would contain some water at the bottom. Longer the storage times of the fuel before usage more the collected water at the tank bottom. As the freshly refined oil leaves the oil refinery it starts cooling down. The cooling process reduces the solubility of water in the oil; as a result the dissolved water condenses within the refinery storage tanks, accumulating at the bottom. Newly refined oil continues to cool down even during transportation. The specific gravity of water is more than the fuels; this property of water separates it from all petroleum products making it accumulate at the bottom of the storage tanks or at the low points in a pipeline. Fuels are usually stored for a long period before they reach the buyers. Long storage duration of the fuels allows water collection which in turn offers an ideal environment for the microbes to grow and contaminate the fuel consistency and quality. Bio-diesel or FAME holds more water quantity as compared to other conventional diesel.
Railway companies have to face the technical challenges in bulk fuel storage and fuel storage tanks in railways. All fuels, especially with low those low in sulphur and biological diesels show certain problematic issues at one time or another creating problems while operation.
Atmospheric moisture also gets absorbed by stored fuel enhancing the problem of microbial contamination and fuel-bug problems. Water to the tune of at least 0.1% may accumulate due to condensation and absorption from the atmosphere during storage for longer periods. Such problems are common in hot countries.
Untreated Fuel stored for longer periods may be severely affected owing to harmful bacteria, moulds and fungi. The adverse results of microbial attack include fuel degradation and reduced fuel lubricity.
Save hefty your hefty fuel investments with the use of Hydra FuelPlus Biocide, an effective fuel biocide additive. The product is a proven solution for maintaining excellent fuel qualities and properties.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide removes harmful microbes and prevents their future booming in the stored fuel. The product acts fast killing off the microbes in 24 hours only. Treated fuel remains safe for up to six months. The dual isothiazolone chemistry and technology of Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is proven to arrest microbial growth and has been in use for over 25 years. Isothiazolones are registered under the ECHA European Biocides Directive, REACH and by the EPA in the USA.
All products by Hydra met stringent standards and are manufactured in ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 accredited plant based in UK.
Appropriate and timely dosing of Hydra FuelPlus Biocide not only effectively decontaminates excessively dirty fuel systems but also prevents further regrowth of microbes. The product maintains the fuel quality throughout the storage, distribution and usage. Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is also effective in preserving expensive fuel systems, avoiding mechanical malfunctions or engine failures due to corrosion induced by acid generated by microbes. Impaired methods of water removal process from the storage tanks leaves the storage systems, machines, pipelines etc. vulnerable to microbes induced corrosion. Hydra FuelPlus Biocide prevents all such damages and maintains the fuel properties, performance including all specifications such as heat of combustion, colour, pour point and cloud point.
Note: Prevents fuel starvation damage to injectors and engines.

Perfect oil tank mold remedy!
Review by Brandon
I bought this product to treat my oil tank that was suffering with a bad mold problem. This treatment kills the mold where it drops to the bottom of the tanks. Treated tanks and so far 6 months later, I see no evidence of the mold returning.
