Features & Advantages
Shock / Initial Dose: 1: 3,000 (30 ml per 100 litre fuel)
(To clean microbial contamination fuel systems)
Dose as per recommended directly in the fuel tank/storage fuel tank to completely get rid of harmful fungi and bacteria
Refueling Dose: 1:10,000 (10 ml per 100 litre)
(To Protect Clean Fuel System)
Add Hydra FuelPlus Biocide as per the suggested dose every time prior to refueling. Always repeat the refueling dose whenever the tank is topped up
All fuel tanks, including diesel and petrol will contain some water, the longer the fuel is not used the more water it will contain.
After production by the oil refinery, as the newly refined fuel cools, water solubility decreases. Consequently dissolved water begins to condense as fuel is cooling in refinery storage tanks. The cooling process continues during transport. As waters specific gravity is greater than that of fuels, as dissolved water condenses it tends to drop out of the petroleum product, accumulating in tank bottoms and in pipeline low-points.
Fuel can be stored for a long time before sale and this fuel will contain a certain amount of water. Biological Diesel (FAME) especially has a tendency to hold more water as compared to the conventional diesel. Water provides the ideal environment for microbial growth and related contamination issues which have a serious impact on fuel quality and consistency
Common technical challenges faced by all transport companies include compromised quality of fuel during bulk storage and in the fuel tanks of trucks. Fuels including those with low Sulphur component or biological diesel show unique issues while operation.
Longer the fuel is stored more it absorbs water from the atmosphere, the water than breeds harmful microbes causing microbial bug problem. Fuel tanks may contain water up to 0.1 percent of the total volume of the fuel due to reasons like condensation and absorption of water from the atmosphere during storage over long periods. The problem is prominent especially in hotter regions.
Long term storage of fuel compromises the quality of fuel due to fungus, mould and bacteria bloom inside the storage tank. Harmful microbes degrade fuel quality and reduce fuel lubricity.
For Transport Operators Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is Practical Solution to Fuel Quality Issues!
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is an excellent solution for those facing above problems. Protection of hefty investments in fuel may be achieved by the regular use of fuel biocide additive like that Hydra FuelPlus Biocide. The product is an economic solution for maintaining better fuel quality and properties.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide destroys all types of damaging bacteria, fungus and microbes thriving in the fuel. Fast action of the product kills off microbes within 24 hours providing protection to the fuel for nearly six months.
The dual isothiazolone chemistry and technology of Hydra FuelPlus Biocide is time tested, proven and is in use for over 25 years. Isothiazolones are registered under the ECHA European Biocides Directive, REACH and by the EPA in the USA.
All of our products are manufactured to the highest specifications in our UK plant, which is accredited to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
Hydra FuelPlus Biocide should be used as per recommended dose to clean already contaminated fuel systems and to prevent further microbial spoilage. Biocide additives such as Hydra FuelPlus Biocide maintain the quality of the fuel right from storage to distribution to usage. Use Hydra FuelPlus Biocide to maintain expensive fuel systems, prevent machinery breakdown and malfunctioning, engine failure and corrosion due to harmful microbes and inadequate water removal from the storage tank. Hydra FuelPlus Biocide protects the fuel to give its full performance along with its physical and chemical properties including colour, pour point, cloud point and heat of combustion.
Note: - Prevents Fuel Starvation Damage To Injectors And Engines.

Review by Joseph
Eliminated problems in fuel & fuel tank causing various truck issues. Works as expected! Had purchased fuel treatment earlier but it was crystallized in container. I contacted Hydra support team before purchasing FuelPlus Biocide to enquire that does it freeze in winters. Hydra Team assured me that it works effectively even in winters. Yes! It works as advertised. Excellent product, will use it again & again.
